If your GP or Physio has never assessed your pelvic alignment and linked it to your exact symptoms, you'll want to read this...
This is a zoomed in real image of a back muscle... See the white stuff that looks like a cobweb? It is called #Fascia and is the hidden cause of back pain...
For us to understand Fibromyalgia pain then all we have to do is look at the structure of an Orange.
Hi..my name is Louise and I would like to share my story and amazing experience of Physology and James and how he turned my life around.
As a person I have always been very outgoing, worked full time, regularly went to the gym, spinning and zumba. Every weekend I would go out either with my partner or friends dancing the night away.
My problems started back in 2013. For no apparent reason my back just gave out on me. I had a couple of weeks rest along with painkillers and was then back to my normal self. It was only 2 weeks later and I started getting pain in my knees, my right one in particular. Not wanting to sound like a hypochondriac I just carried on. The pain never went away but it was manageable and to be honest I thought it was a sign of age and the probability of the onset of the menopause.
This carried on until October 2017 when I noticed it was getting alot worse and was starting to affect my day to day life. I decided to visit my GP around Christmastime who arranged some blood tests which showed nothing.
To walk and move was becoming harder and harder and on 30th April 2018 I was in too much pain to get to work. That day my GP signed me off work and I was unable to return for 11 months and became virtually housebound.
I saw a rheumatologist in August 2018 who diagnosed ‘fibromyalgia’. This condition had changed my life. There was the pain along with the overwhelming exhaustion but there was more. I had changed as a person as I could no longer do all the things I’d always enjoyed. There was no more exercise, work or socialising, I was gaining weight rapidly, I couldn’t play with my small grandchildren. Not surprising that all this was taking a toll on my mental health too.
I was told there was no cure but prescribed medication. This had no effect at all. I felt like I was sinking with nowhere to turn.
In November 2018 I began taking CBD oil. This helped massively and I returned to work in March 2018 although I could still only manage 3 days a week.
I had searched on ‘Google for anything that could help me. I could not accept being told that I would never get better if doctors couldn’t tell me what had caused it.
This is where my journey with James began.
I saw a post on Facebook about Physology which was very interesting and I was lucky to be able to have a free consultation.
I went along and met James. He made me feel so at ease and really listened to what I was saying. He didn’t rush me, he wanted to know everything about the pain and how it had affected my life.
James actually understood what I was talking about. He explained with videos and proof exactly what was going on in my body. He told me all about fascia and how it’s not yet studied by the NHS. I can’t explain the relief I felt, I just sat and cried.
I got on the couch and James performed a ‘taster treatment’ on one area. I picked my right hip and thigh as on that day that was the most painful. I almost fell over when I stood up. I was used to it being very painful and stiff but just after 20 minutes there was no pain and no stiffness.
I went home elated and couldn’t wait to get started on a full-on course of treatments. If I’m honest the scepticism did set in. What if the relief only lasted a few hours or a few days? What if it didn’t work on other parts of my body? I decided the only way to find out was to try.
I booked in for my 1st session on 19th August 2019 and had my last one on 17th October.
James has given me my life back. I am now pain free. I can run up the stairs now instead of crawling up them. I’m playing with my grandchildren, can walk long distances, can go out dancing and am going back to work full time on 3rd January. I haven’t started back at the gym yet but that’s just down to personal circumstances, however after Christmas I will be going back.
I just want to say to anyone who is suffering from chronic pain and is told by their GP there is no cure that there is. James gave me ‘the old me’ back after I thought I’d never see her again and for that I’ll be eternally grateful.
I’m a hardworking mum and wife and I had suffered from Fibromyalgia since 2008.
I was in pain all over my body. Mainly back pain and pain down my right leg which meant I couldn’t walk and it was only getting worse.
I had to use a crutch everywhere i went and I couldn’t walk far or stand for for long without being in a lot of pain. My pelvis felt also out of alignment and twisted which also made walking more difficult and I had no balance. I also had stomach pains constantly which felt like a band from my back all round to the front.
I had seen so many doctors and specialist over the last 10 years but nothing they did helped me and I had resigned myself to life in pain.
I found physology by chance flicking through facebook and saw a post of theirs describing the body being stuck all twisted and causing pain. The picture that went with the post looked exactly how my body felt, it was all out of alignment and their post explained how this would cause pain.
They were describing exactly what i was feeling and everything they said made sense, so i decided to book a consultation to see what happens as i had nothing to lose.
I went with a opened mind, met James, who straight away put me at ease and asked me to explain my symptoms. He also examined me and did a full assessment on my posture.
Then he explained everything and he showed me a video describing what fascia is and how it affects the body which was really interesting and made sense.
The first treatment was sore so we went very slow and then once i got home i felt so different and was feeling confident about the treatment.
After each session i was feeling better and better. James realigned my body and gave me exercises to do at home and then started to teach me about nutrition and how it helps with the healing process.
I was totally pain free in about 6 weeks after being in pain for over 10 years. I could walk without my crutch.
With all the education I know its now down to me to keep working hard and build my strength up again now that my body will let me.
I even feel healthier because of the nutritional side that James helped me with as well. Both me and my husband now eat this way all the time.
I am so glad i booked that first consultation with James. He made me feel relaxed and was so caring and understood how i was feeling.
If you have Fibromyalgia or any other pain I would say just book the consultation like I did and the first treatment and information will blow you away and you’ll know you’ve made the right choice to get yourself pain free.
I finished my treatment in August and i’m still pain free 3 months later.
Hi my names Sarah.
To understand my recovery, I think it’s important to appreciate how bad it was before.
I am a mum to two teenage boys and have been a teacher for almost 20 years. On 1st March 2009 – a day I will never forget – while watching my eldest swim training, I managed to fall over (very stylishly!) after stepping on a non-slip surface.
I managed to break both of my legs.
My right leg was decimated, and it took 3 surgeries and 10 months to get me a stage where I could walk, drive and return to the classroom. I had spent 6 months in a wheelchair and a further 4 months on crutches learning to walk.
By the middle of 2010 I had begun to rediscover life – I was teaching, swim coaching and had started back at the gym. One afternoon, while on poolside my back began to twinge and out of nowhere it suddenly seized leaving me curled up on the floor, struggling to breathe and unable to move.
After 2 bottles of laughing gas the paramedics decided I needed to go to hospital where I was pumped full of drugs and sent on my way.
In the years that followed this happened more and more often in the most inappropriate places. After each episode I noticed that I was not fully recovering. I was in pain almost daily and I had started struggle to trust myself to go out alone.
I was visiting my GP regularly during this period. I had been for several MRI and CT scans, had a few thousand blood tests and seen a dozen different consultants with a range of specialisms – none of whom could find a cause or treatment.
I had been sent to Physio half a dozen times and been discharged each time. I had also begun seeing a chiropractor who helped me stay at work but who also told me eventually there was little else they could do as every time they tried to treat me my muscles would seize making treatment impossible.
In 2015 I was probably at my lowest point – not only was I in constant pain in my back I was now finding I was in pain everywhere. My arms and legs ached, burned and tingled all the time, I was struggling to remember what day it was and barely slept for a couple of hours a night.
I was at the stage where I was told by occupational health that I should probably consider leaving teaching.
I sat and sobbed in my GPs office when she told me she believed I had fibromyalgia.
I was referred to a pain clinic and a rheumatologist. The rheumatologist confirmed my GPs suspicions and the pain clinic gave me a tens machine to try and reduce the number episodes of back spasm. I had always struggled to take the painkillers offered to me by my GP and this didn’t improve as the level of medication increased. I was now also regularly having to use a wheelchair if I needed to go anywhere – I could barely stand or walk for more than a couple of minutes.
By Summer 2017 I was thoroughly at my wits end. I went to see my GP to beg them to try something different – just to help me. I wasn’t yet 40 and yet I felt I was barely existing – I had no life.
My GP was particularly unsympathetic and basically told me that I should just take the drugs on offer and if I wasn’t willing to do that then what did I expect them to do.
I burst into tears and walked out and to this day have never been back!
I decided then that I had to do some research – there had to be something I could do – this couldn’t be it; I wasn’t prepared to let my life continue down this path.
It was the summer holidays and I wasn’t capable of doing more than curl up in a heap, so I began to read.
I came across some research on nutrition and fibromyalgia and decided to give it a go. Although I didn’t eat particularly badly I began to eat super clean – I started a program of super nutrition including vitamin shakes, supplements and tonics.
No one was more shocked than me that within a couple of weeks I started to notice some improvements. I wasn’t fixed but I was definitely improving. This prompted me to keep searching for answers.
Quite by chance I came across an article about James at Physology and the work he had done for Fibromyalgia patients and decided it was worth sending a message.
After reading into the treatment further and exchanging messages with James I decided to bite the bullet and book an appointment.
I arrived at my first session with healthy scepticism – after all I had seen dozens of doctors, had more tests than I knew existed and got precisely nowhere so what realistically was the chance of this random man having the answers!?
The first big difference I found was that what James wanted was to listen to my story – he wanted to know what had happened, my frustrations and what I felt every day.
I think I paused for breath after about an hour and James began to explain to me his thoughts, his processes and with unrivalled confidence, his plan for fixing me.
He explained the science, showed me videos and explained what would happen in our sessions.
James spoke in detail about the benefits of super nutrition, intermittent fasting and eating clean – something that had already begun to benefit from. Although I was still finding hard to believe that I could actually get better, this was the closest I had come for many years.
Initially I had 2 sessions per week – they were physically tough at times but by the end of the first week I had the best nights sleep I had had in years. I was more committed to eating well than ever and spent the next couple of weeks just getting better and better.
Around this time, I found I could stand and walk for longer and longer and decided to try it out. I dragged my other half out for a stroll – we walked a mile or so and I was asked several times to slow down!
After 4 weeks I woke up one morning from a deep sleep and decided I felt like giving exercise a try (after consulting with James) – I had more energy than I could ever remember and although I was terrified, I felt I could do it.
That afternoon I swam 10 lengths and only stopped because my partner decided I was pushing my luck.
It only took a further 2 treatments for me to realise I was literally fixed – I had zero pain, I was sleeping, I was walking and exercising and felt sharper than I had for many years.
James and I decided it was worth having a break, so I had a couple of weeks away to see how I faired. To cut a long story short I was healed.
I am 6 months post treatment now and still fighting fit.
I am sensitive to eating the wrong foods so as long as I stick to the nutrition advice given by James, I keep myself 100% pain free.
Knowing that I have my life back, feeling like I have second chance to live the life I have always wanted and I can control that myself, is so freeing.
My late nana always used to say – you never appreciate your health until its gone. I fully agree with that and will be forever thankful to James for giving me a second chance at finding mine.
If you have Fibromyalgia, I’d say just don’t even hesitate and get in touch with Physology. Instead of wondering if they can help, just contact them and ask them. They sent me videos to learn and explained so much even before my consultation so it will just save you so much time and I’m sure the result will be that you get a second chance at life too.
Feel free to ask my anything!
